Many people/churches have their own set of selected Bible verses, which appear to support their beliefs; and they repeatedly dwell on these verses. "MISSING BIBLE VERSES, Missing from common beliefs," is a book, which stresses the need to prayerfully study the rest of the Bible, especially the verses that may give our beliefs some Biblical problems.
The book centers on St. Peter’s instructions for joining Jesus Christ. They are the main, first and foremost, Biblical instructions for joining Jesus Christ. Yet, they are ignored by most churches.
They are the main, first and foremost, instructions, because:
• They were given by St.
Peter (to whom Christ gave the keys to the kingdom of heaven).• The rest of the Apostles were standing with him, as he gave them.
• They were given on the first day of the Church, to the first converts of the Church.
On the first day of the Church, St. Peter preached. Bystanders who heard his preaching, were convicted (stirred in their heart), and wanted to joined Jesus Christ. So, St.
Peter, standing with the rest of the Apostles, gave the first joining instructions of the Church, to the first converts of the Church, on the first day of the Church. The book takes these instructions, and shows how they’re interwoven with the rest of the Bible.
We must not be complacent, with our understanding of the Scriptures, and with our walk with God. We need to constantly be learning and growing in the things of God; so doing our best, in God, grows higher and better everyday. God will bless our understanding, whenever we are prayerfully studying the Bible, with a right heart, and for the right purposes.
